Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

I don't really know how to start this post, it has been a while since I posted. When  I started this blog my desire was to try and post daily, like a journal. But it hasn't been that way, much to my chagrin, as this year will soon be over. But as Scarlet said " I will think about that tomorrow".

For you ladies who keep a daily online  journal, I applaud you . I have enjoyed reading all of  your journals so much, and have been blessed beyond words.

Thank you so much for your concerns and prayers, my hand has healed very nicely, it has a noticeable scar, but quite frankly I really thought it would look worse, thanks be to God!

As you can see I have once again tried to work on this blog design, and  lost a lot of stuff, in order for me to go back to the old blogger layout, I had to delete some widgets, I didn't save them, so back to square one.

I will not make this an extremely long post tonight, but wanted to share  a photo of our new baby...he or she is the cutest thing you could see. We haven't been able to tell if it is a ginny or jack so no name yet....

These are not the best pics. I took them late afternoon today. We have been waiting for its arrival for almost two years, not that she was expecting that long, but we are so thankful that she had no trouble. My! she is a wonderful mother, so protective.

Look at that cute face!! I guess only farmers get this excited about animals being born on their farm. lol I love living on a working farm, and give thanks to my heavenly father every day, to have this privilege. Lots of work, but the rewards out weigh the long hrs. and days.

Thank you for coming by and for taking the time to leave such sweet and encouraging comments, I so appreciate it so much.
Much love,
Sue

Okay....I'm back again :) :) :) You know I don't write as often as I'd like on my blog either...because work keeps me really busy...and after an 8 hour day I"m just plain tired out :) :) However, I try to post at least twice a week...any more than that, I can't promise...just whever I can put something together :) :)

I live in an apartment but I do love animals...and this baby is cute...I hope it's a girl...If I ever had chidlren myself, I'd want a girl first...but whatever God gives is good too :) :) :) Have you picked out any boy or girl names yet?

I discovered two really neat magazines this week...The Girlhood Home Companion...a Christian magazine with lots of recipes, craft projects etc...great for grandmothers, mothers, daughters...or if you have a class of Sunday school girls...but I love all the fun projects etc...and Australian Homespun...a magazine dedicated to sewing and stitching :) :)

More love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Oh my...that is such a cute baby! I want to give her a hug!

Glad to know that your burn is healing, Sue. I have noticed that scars take much longer to fade as we get a little (ahem) older, so maybe your scar will eventually blend in. I had on on my hand that lasted for months...but slowly, slowly, slowly it faded away so that now you can barely see it. The same thing happened with a wound on my thigh. (I sound accident prone, don't I? lol)

So nice to see a post from you, Sue. I'm glad to hear that your hand is feeling much better now.
I'd never be able to manage posting daily either. I'm just happy to read about life on your farm whenever you are able to post.
Your new baby is precious.

Oh my! I have always teased my husband that he might come home one day and find a donkey in the backyard! (Not allowed in our subdivision) Now, I really want one! So cute!

Well Sue, I have baby donkey envy. What a cute face and so sweet. I always wanted a donkey, I wonder why I never got one, umm. Thank you for all of your sweet comments and don't be so hard on yourself and blogging.
I kept two of my grand kids last week. I could hardly get to the computer and when I did it was impossible to have a coherent thought.
You have been so busy like the ant. You can blog when it is cold outside.
When you do visit you leave the sweetest comments and it is always worth the wait.
Have a wonderful week and I can't wait to find out if your new baby is a jack or a jenny.
Blessings,

I wonder if I can get away with having a donkey in my backyard? Love those sweet little things. I've always been afraid of mules though but donkey's just steal my heart!

Oh, Sue, he is just darling! I don't think we need any more donkey's in our neighborhood ... oops! You are talking about animals, shame on me! Chuckle!

Hope you heal quickly ... it was so good to hear from you again.

Have a beautiful eve ~

Hello, I'm new to your blog, and to the world of blogging. "You had me at the picture of the baby donkey". I was immediately brought to tears of joy, because the Lord knows I love animals, and that seeing this would make my day. I have never seen a baby donkey. I have always lived in California, but for as long as I can remember I have always dreamt about living on a farm, I just have to convince my husband. You very blessed. Also, I like your music on your blog.
Give the donkey a hug for me.
God bless you & your family,
Michele Katherine

I was so pleased to see you had posted this morning, don't worry about how often you post.

Good to hear your hand is healing.

Love your pictures of your baby, he/she is so cute! We live on a small piece of land but because we are right next to the city we are not allowed any animals, which our daughter hates. I will be sending her this post to read.
