Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Simple Pleasures

If I wake during the night, and get up, I always go around and look outside my windows, (just a little quirk of mine). lol

Sometimes there is a full moon, other times the sky will be filled with stars that sparkle like diamonds. And then there are times like last night, when the fog was so thick, you could slice it with a knife, or it was as thick as pea soup. I know you have heard these sayings before. ... And I knew it would be here for me to enjoy this morning and it was.....

At the back porch, I could see the fog dancing with the fruit trees in the orchard.

This was taken out on the front porch, the cows were wandering through the fog,as if it was not there.

By these photos you can see it was not as thick as pea soup, the fog had lifted somewhat, and as the sun came up it burned the fog away. But what a simple pleasure it was to enjoy one of God's many gifts to us.
Please enjoy, and share your Simple Pleasures today,
Sue

Sue, welcome to Simple Pleasures. We're a friendly bunch and it's always a treat to see new people each week, linking up.

I love your fog pictures. There's something mysterious and beautiful about fog (as long as you're not driving in it). God's handiwork keeps me catching my breath in wonder.

Hi Sue, great pictures.

Yesterday morning we woke up to a morning like that. Hubby and I stood out on the deck and relished in it. We don't get many times like that, and it's nice for a change.
Alas, the sun broke through and brought us a golden day.

Thanks for sharing
Hugs!

I totally relate to the sight of fog lifting. Sometimes, I catch a certain field on my country commute at JUST the right moment.

It's as if God lifts a blanket ever so slowly. I love it.

I sure would LOVE to have the view from your house!

It's so good to see God through the fog, as well as in the light of the sun.

I just LOVE your homey, comfy blog... always so fun to visit.

I, too, look outside during the night hours, usually when my Labrador wants to go out.

You can see some interesting things during those hours!

love the fog pics.

Hello Sue, your photos are beautiful! Fog seems to quieten my soul and slow me down to a peaceful place with Him. Another way He whispers to a seeking heart:-) Thank you for sharing these lovely moments. blessings..Trish (another star-struck window gazer)

Hello Sue,

As long as I can look out my windows and not have to drive in it, I love it! It is beautiful and makes my home feel especially cozy. Thanks for sharing your simple pleasure and such lovely pictures.

Wow...the orchard from your back porch is stunning - with or without fog - but especially *with* the fog! I love it! Fog has always been one of my favorite "phenomenons". My kids love it too.

(And the picture of candy corn at the top makes me smile and reminds me of my best friend who eats it year-round.)

Hope you have a blessed day!

Hi Sue,
I always look forward to your blog, with all your beautiful photos. If you turned your home into an INN, you would have a waiting list 10 miles long. I would be first on that list! The land, the animals, the beautiful warmth your home radiates is hard to find. Your blessed with what looks like a great family also.
Give the farm animals hugs for me,
God Bless,
Michele Katherine

Ooh, how pretty and almost magical. You could get lost in it even by watching from inside your house--I mean in the dreaminess of it. I love fog too.

I just discovered Simple Pleasures and hope to participate this coming week. Seems like such a nice idea.

PS--Love the candy corn header.

I love simple pleasures too! The fog reminded me of how it get around here in the winter. Some people don't like the fog but it makes me feel all warm and cozy inside.
