So, how was your weekend?

Saturday...was very productive around here, I had planned to do light housework, Mr. P. was going to do some cleanup from the ice storm, and then we were going to the mall. Well! we both got so engrossed in our work that we decided since we were on a roll to keep going. Have you ever done this? So here is the scoop,...
I went into the kitchen to kind of straighten a little and wait until this next week to do major cleaning. But when I looked out those windows, and saw all those spots, I said" no way was I going to leave it, I got those windows sparkling , and then I started cleaning and organizing my cabinets, scrubbed half of the counter tops, cooked dinner and the rest is history. I walked out of my half cleaned kitchen knowing I had gotten something accomplished.lol I walked 2.5 miles.
we had lunch with mother, and spent some wonderful time with her. I did some blogging and started doing some rearranging on this blog. The weather was beautiful today sunny and in the 40's, so I went for a walk 2.5 miles today. Mr P. had a fire going from some of the rotted wood he had been piling up.
It was dusk, and all was silent, we talked for a while about the upcoming week. How wonderful to be able to enjoy one of God's many blessing....Time well spent with your best friend!
|Yes these are the feet that walked today. lol|
We went to the barn and then they all started baaing, but we couldn't find anything wrong. dh walked around in the pen, talking to them, and when we left, they were looking through the gate at us and had stopped whining, all they needed was reassuring that everything was alright. To know that their shepherd was near by.
I thought" isn't that the way we are, we start whining and complaining, and feel anxious about things in life, God comes and comforts us , by His word,... a word of encouragement from someone, and once again we are reassured that all is well, and we settle down and rest.
Philippians 4:6-7~ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. let your requests be made known to God.
This is exactly what the ewe was doing, she was making her requests known to her shepherd, though she was anxious, but would not stop until she had heard her shepherd's voice and him assuring her it was alright. I would love to have taken a picture of their faces as we left the pen, just so sweet.
