Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

I love the look of  sheers, I put these brown sheers up in the master bath, for fall and winter.

Since spring cleaning the bath, I wanted to lighten it up a bit. I had some white sheers that I had bought last year and decided to replace the brown with them.

Still not satisfied I decided to take the garland down to lighten it up some more.
Before
After
I am leaning toward keeping the garland  down, as it seems to open up the room. So what do you think, which way do you like the best?
Enjoy your evening,
Hugs,
Sue

Both are pretty, but I like the no garland for summer.
What a beautiful big bathroom you have.

I like it minus the garland. It's funny. Not too long ago, I took down all the toppers on mirrors and things. It helps make it look a little fresher. Come fall, you'll be ready to put it back. What a lovely room!

Sue, your bathroom is more beautiful than most chapels! Gorgeous! I'll take it either way, but without does seem a little less formal and lends the room a feeling of a little more space. :D

This is how I decide things like that... I ask if it will mean more cleaning and dusting work for me? LOL!
But that is also why my house doesn't look as pretty as yours does. So don't listen to me!

I love the white sheers and like them without the garland. It gives it a light airy fresh look.
Your bathroom is very pretty Sue.
I've been doing Spring cleaning in our bedrooms and baths. Feels so good when it's done.
Take care!

I like them with no garland. It looks much more open and lets in so much more light. I wonder why?
Have a wonderful Wednesday. I have been cleaning inside and out. :) I do feel like Mr. Monk. :)

I love the way you have "feathered your nest" Sue... all of the pics show that y'all's house is homey, and inviting and pretty, too.

as for the garland, Either way looks nice to me, I can see how you might want a change, and if you get to missing it, you could always put it back up. I like the way the other bloggers suggested putting it back in the Fall. You might be ready for another change by then.

Either way it is a LOVELY room!

Texas hugs,
Jenni

I, too, cast my vote with the "no garland for spring and summer" camp. I agree with you that it lightens it up a bit. (But with such a beautiful bathroom, I don't think you can go wrong whatever you decide!)
And I'll bet you'll be ready to put it back up come autumn. :-)

Oh Sue what a perfectly lovely bathroom. I love the whole look. It is pretty either way, but I am with the others. I like the airy, fresh look with white sheers and no garland. And they are right, you can always put it back up later when you feel like a change. I'd love to go on a tour of your whole home. Soo pretty. HUGS, Debbie

Hi Sue,
thanks for coming by....I think the problem you were having was us!!
We were fooling around with my blog
and I was telling Jimmy I wonder if this is changing when someone is reading it at the time, and he said he didn't think so.....guess we got our answer!! lol
You know I really like it without the garland, even tho it is so pretty,
but it really draws your eye to the pretty pics you have in the center
without it!! and it looks more light and airy.
Hope you have a good day tomorrow hon,
Blessings, Nellie

The garlands are beautiful, Sue.
But I think the room looks softer and more peaceful without them :-)
It's so nice to be able to make changes with the seasons, isn't it!
Either way..you have lovely bathroom!

It is beautiful...I like it down, but both are beautiful. What an inviting place, and it is the bathroom. You are getting more cleaning done than I am. Happy Spring!

What a pretty bathroom. I definitely prefer the no garland option. It looks so light & airy. I can just picture the fresh spring air gently blowing in.

Your curtains are so beautiful. I like the garlands but I can see how taking them down does lighten them up for summer. A change is always fun!

I just love the look of it any way you go. The brown is stunning for the colder months. I've never seen brown sheers that I can think of.

The white is perfect for spring and summer. I think you should leave the garland down for a while just to be different and then put it back up the next time you feel all nesty.

With the garland is my favorite, however either way is very lovely!

I want to follow your new blog, but I can't figure out how as I don't see a "follow" button anywhere!

Hi, Sue! I have really missed you, my friend.

Let's see... I like it both ways. But if you want lighter, take it down for a bit. When you miss it, put it back up! :-) I think it's good to do seasonal looks in a room. Keep the flowers up for fall and winter. How about that compromise?

I'm checking in to wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day and to let you know I miss you. I hope to be blogging more regularly in the not too distant future, but I am convicted to get all of this work done soon. Then I have company from England in April. YEA!

Hope all is well with you and yours and that you have recovered...

XO,

Sheila :-)
