Hope~...Confident expectation, waiting with anticipation.
Written by Sue, Sunday March, 6, 2011...
When I planted this daffodil bulb, my hope was to see a beautiful bloom, so I watered, fertilized and waited with anticipation for a beautiful bloom! And here is the result, a beautiful well formed and colorful bloom.
Hope does not dwell on the past.... Once the bulb was planted, I didn't dwell on the what ifs, I knew I had done what I was suppose to do, so I waited... Let's play what if! What if I had planted the bulb, and had not watered, fertilized and toiled the soil, and I just sat around and rung my hands saying "I wonder if it's going to grow, I wonder if it will have a bloom?"
If a bulb planted and nourished in the deep dark soil, can produce such a beautiful bloom, can you imagine what we become when we are planted and nourished in God's purest soil?
I want my hope to grow, don't you? and in order for that to happen I have to nurture it by continuing daily to trust and abide in Christ, .... Thus the transformation into one of the most beautiful flowers in God's garden. This is His desire for us ( His children).
No matter what we face in life, and we all do, there is one truth that holds true...God loves us and He wants to take care of us. How Awesome is this?
"Heavenly Father, my hope is you, today, please help me nurture this hope, by trusting, reading and being obedient to Your Word, and please help me to let go and let you be the Master gardener in my life."
Isaiah 40:31~ But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
comments are off today that you may rest, and be blessed in Him.
edited: oops! I made a mistake and my very dear friend Vee let me know. I forgot to turn my comments off. You see I usually turn my comments off on Sunday, so that you might be able to come by for a visit, and then go to visit the next door neighbor's home, and therefore, you get to rest, and enjoy more blogs. I love comments, and look forward to hearing from you more than you will ever know. I treasure each of you so much, but felt as though you could do more visiting if they were off on Sunday.
Thank you Vee!!
