Written by Sue, Saturday,September 3, 2011 A beautiful day, sunny, 80's temps.
Woke at 2:30 this morning out of a sound sleep I decided to go downstairs for a glass of water, while in the kitchen I heard these loud chirping sounds coming from the direction of the laundry room, I went and looked, and there the back door was wide open....
I first began to imagine all kinds of creatures that had come into the house. Creatures I do not like. especially snakes and mice. But I had a peace as I knew it was my Father God by His Spirit that had awakened me. It certainly was not Mr. P nor Lucy, as they both were sound asleep, each trying to out snore the other. ~smile~ I closed the door, went back to bed, thinking and thanking God for all of the times that He has taken care of us, yes, even when we do silly things such as not checking the doors.
I began to meditate on scriptures that spoke about how God feels about us, His children.
1Peter 5:7~casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Matthew 6:26~ "Look at the birds of the air,for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
We are the apple of His eye!! Zechariah 2:8~........for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
It is so hard for me to explain about God and His presence in my life,.... I remember earlier as I was about to walk upstairs something said inside,"check the backdoor," being tired I felt like it had already been taken care of by dh, so up to bed I went.... and it was at 2:30 I was awakened, thirsty, now I could have gotten the water upstairs, but didn't, for some reason(God), I was drawn to go downstairs. I don't believe this was coincidental, I believe it was ordained by my heavenly Father.... If only I had listened to that still small voice the first time,... Yes God does have some stubborn children, He knew I would need a wakeup call. ~grin~....
I have some friends here in blogland that are going through some very difficult times right now, I want to encourage them by letting them, and anyone else who is being tested to know that God's eye is forever on you, He knows exactly where you are at and He cares so much for you, He has not forgotten your circumstances."Be encouraged in Him".
This incidence is so small compared to what others are experiencing, but if God so cares about the small things in our lives how much more for the big things. Mr. P and I have and continue to face circumstances beyond our control, I am reminded of verses like the above, and stand on His promises..He does all these things because he loves us, and that He might be glorified in our lives.
Comments are off, that you might rest in Him.
