Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

As I take a peek

back into this past year, I want to "thank you" for a very interesting year, I would love to say  this year was a big bowl of cherries topped with whipped cream, but as life goes, it wasn't! You gave me so much to think and talk about! There were days when I just wanted to pull the covers back up and stay there, and then there were days when I almost got up before you, full of joy and anticipation as I ran the race set before me. I am very happy to say that I survived, I will always remember you for the lessons taught, learned, and now hopefully applied,   I  now say farewell, "old friend", again "thank you," as I wait with much anticipation for my New Friend, 2012!

Wishing all of my friends a most blessed and Happy new Year!
much love,
Sue
I Corinthians 9: 24~Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

Hi Sue,
It's been awhile since I've visited you. I enjoyed getting caught up. I hope you have a wonderful New Year. I always enjoy your Beautiful Pear Tree Lane. BTW. Right now I'm sitting here ready to go to bed and I'm wearing the lovely white robe you gave me.
Love and blessings,
Charlotte

I love that verse too!

I enjoyed your unique way of looking at the old year, Sue. Oh that we would all apply the lessons learned in this past year! He is faithful!

A very blessed New Year to you, my friend!

P.S. I can totally relate to the time of adjustment when your family member(s)' visit is over! Hoping that you're reflecting on the beautiful, warm memories of your visit. {{{hugs}}}

What a creative way to say good bye to the old year... the photo that has us peeking through window captured the sentiment nicely...

Best wishes, dear friend, for you and yours in 2012!

Love that scripture verse, too....

Hugs,
Jenni

I rather like this race we're in...it's more about crossing the finish line than coming in first. Sweet Sue, I have so enjoyed visiting Pear Tree Lane and I am looking forward to many more visits right here. God's richest blessings on you and yours in 2012!

I wish the same to you my dear friend, my first friend in blogland and I hope forever. You do and continue to bless me.
I know it would be silly to wish for every day to be a bowl of cherries with whip cream, we do hope don't we?
Because some days we just have to have the other stuff to make us see life really is good most of the time.

I will leave you with this neat promise I found today:
Trust God---your times are in His Hands. His timing is never late.
" Oh satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all of our days!"
Psalm 90:14
It gave me such comfort today.
You mean so much to me Sue.

Oh so well said...why don't I have that talent..to say so much in so few words.

Hugs and welcome new year...may we each learn to greet each morning with Praise on our lips, even if what is before us seems to challenge our faith...He is still faithful

Benjamin told me I had to tell you how good your blueberry jelly is. It was so cute he said, "Mom you need to tell Sue thank you and that her jelly is really, really good!"
So I stopped in to send Benjamin his thank you...and the rest of us enjoyed it also.

So... this is the second blog that I have read this morning to reference that verse.

I'm listening God.
And I'm lacing up my running shoes.

Welcome 2012. Happy New Year, Sue!

A visit to Pear Tree Farm always brightens my day and lifts my spirits, Sue. May the new year bring you and Mr P and your sweet family good health, contentment, and happiness in everything you do.

Your faith and sweet spirit are truly an inspiration to me ...

I have been away from blog land so long that it is taking me forever just to catch up. It's a "good" catch up though as I get to read wonderful posts from blogs that I missed during the Christmas season.

I loved your spa day. That might have been my favorite part I read here. I need to do that. Of course, my feet wouldn't be that pretty even after a spa WEEK. Sigh...

2011 wasn't a banner year here either. The more that I think about it, though, the more I think that a LOT of really good things happened. I just let the bad outweigh the good and it really affected me. Part of my 2012 resolution is not to do that.

Happy New Year, Sue! I'm looking forward to more adventures at Pear Tree Lane Farm this year.

That is one of my favorite verses, Sue~ and I share your sentiments about 2011. It wasn't all rosy but at times it was more like "one foot in front of the other"... and having wonderful blog friends like you make the world a better place to be!
