Awwww...gotta love family photos, especially when the family is as good looking as yours. This could be a great idea for note cards within families. A great way to share the ties that bind photos! Love that last one. You two make a great couple.

podso March 20, 2012 at 10:54 PM

Wonderfulhotos of your family and set off so nicely in the frames. Each seems to represent such joy!

Sandi McBride March 20, 2012 at 10:54 PM

Family photos are my favorite. You have a lovely family and a good eye for photography!

Well Sue, I can see how you'd find it hard to choose from all your wonderful photos, lol!
You have such a gift for capturing beautiful moments!

bj March 20, 2012 at 11:55 PM

I don't understand about the "family photos"....I don't see them, either...??

Sue March 20, 2012 at 11:59 PM

To those who asked about my family photos, I edited my post after it was posted, I apologize for the mishap.

Hi Sue!
I also don't see family photos that your earlier commenters talk about? Did you change your set?

Your flower photos are gorgeous --it seems flowers are the most popular card images so far.

Sandi McBride March 21, 2012 at 5:33 AM

Hi Sue, I tried to get in here last night and blogger was being...well, blogger! I love the black eyed susans...have them around my fish pond but they're not up yet. I see your sweet Grandson Will is a Navy Man...my husband retired with 30 years in, Will picked a fine service and our prayers are with him...looking at the pears as I type and hope to see a good crop of our own this year as the trees are blooming like mad and we actually have bees this year! God answered our prayers!!

My how pretty your garden does grow! The photos are gorgeous and the butterfly is my favorite, thank you for sharing.

Sally March 21, 2012 at 7:01 AM

I love the butterfly on the Lantana. I first saw Lantana when we vacationed at the beach in N.Carolina. The butterflies were flocking around it. It is not an annual here in Ohio, but I try to plant some each year. The butterflies DO love it.

Beth March 21, 2012 at 7:04 AM

hi. because i am such a fan of butterflies ... i would definitely have to pick the "lantana with the butterfly". gorgeous. i love how so many are picking different photos from their blog for the note card link up party. so cool. happy to find you. take care. (:

Becky K. March 21, 2012 at 7:37 AM

It looks like I am going with the majority in loving the butterfly in lantana. So striking. Although, all of your photos are beautiful...
Great job!!

LDH March 21, 2012 at 7:40 AM

All so lovely! I especially like the green apples with the water droplets.

Happy@Home March 21, 2012 at 8:09 AM

Your photos are all so beautiful and would look perfect on the front of a note card. I'm partial to the butterfly and lantana photo :).
I had to laugh when I read Vee's comment about the last photo and you 2 making such a good looking couple. I thought I see a couple of apples. :) As I read down to your comment it made more sense. LOL.

Lisa~A Cottage To Me March 21, 2012 at 8:17 AM

Good I'm not the only one that doesn't see the family photos. I was a bit worried! Great flowers though! Hmmm....where's the family photos?

Hi Sue,

What a LOVELY farm you have. It must be wonderful to live there. I was scrolling down your blog and saw your grandson's picture. So sweet -- our son's name is Will, too. He'll be 22 years old this summer, and is a junior in college. We love him dearly.

Your note card photos are fantastic. I think my favorite is the butterfly on the Lantana bloom.

Thank you for leaving a comment on my "Fences" post, and I hope you have a great weekend!

Sharing thoughts from my heart with you,

The farmer and his friends
Thank you so much for coming by, please come and visit anytime.

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

The phrase "There's no place like home", is so true.

No matter where I go, I always love turning the key and hearing that clicking sound in the lock of our back door . Even if I have only gone shopping, I am so happy to be home.

Did you know that every home has its own scent, the first thing I do is sniff the air, and I offer a quiet prayer of thankfulness, and for safety.

My decorating style is my own, I decorate with the colors and treasures that are me. One of the things that I have enjoyed about blogging is the difference in how we all view the world, and our homes. Just like our Creator made each of us to be unique, we create our own unique styles and colors in our own homes. I have learned so much from you and enjoyed your homes so much, and have learned so much about you from your homes...

I truly believe that God wants us to have a safe haven to come home too, a place we can claim as our own,... just like us, homes come in all shapes and sizes if love is there it is our home.., if our things are there it is our home. When we add our own personal touches, it is our home

Home is a place we can go to when the storms of life are raging. I often listen to the wind and rain when it is coming down hard and am reminded of the safety of our sheltering home. It is the one place that we control what and who comes in, (well, most of the time. lol)

Sometimes late at night, when I am unable to sleep I will get up and as I am walking across the room, I hear the floor creek beneath my feet, I go, sit, and listen to other sounds that my home makes, a pop here and there in the wall, it is like the wall is talking to me. A home not only has its own scent, but it also has its own sound. I truly believe that a home takes on its own personality, US!!

So why this blog?....
I wanted a place that I could come, talk about, and share of how my day was spent here at the "farmhouse", and about the things that I do to make it a "home". Making a house a home is a lifetime endever, and I might add a joy, as our lives are always changing.
