~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

"Notecards"

Written by Sue, Tuesday August 20, 2013      Cloudy, warm and very humid today, showers expected.

"Moon Shots" as seen through my camera lens! All of these were taken within a few minutes of each other. I found this so amazing. Isn't that the way life is? It all depends on how we look at it!~smile~

Joining my friend Vee  at today's notecard party, thanks Vee for hosting.
Enjoy your day,
Sue

Hi Sue!

Wow! beautiful! I sure wish I had a camera that could take those kind of shots. You don't know but my dream was to be an astronomer crushed dream in my jr year of high school but I still love science and all the mysteries of the sky so these photos are just breath taking to me!

I hope all is well on the farm, as you know I have taken time off and now I am back and I look forward in taking that peek into your wonderful life. I do enjoy your blog I can only imagine how beautiful your home and life is and I am thankful for you to share it with all of us.
hugs
Tania

I am always in awe of a great shot of the moon...haven't been able to achieve it lately myself. Silver or gold moons...both beautiful!

These are great moon shots. It's the full moon tonight and I'm hoping the thunder clouds will clear off so I can get a pic. I don't think it's going to happen in time though. :)

I LOVE everyone of these glimpses of the moon. So true isn't it, so much of life is what angle you look at it from. It was good to hear from you the other day. I have missed you! I think about you often and am glad all is well on the farm! HUGS

They're beautiful Sue! Hope you're doing well. My garden is growing nicely even with my hubby overseas again. Next year we plan on expanding it and maybe opening up a small stand in our driveway. :)

Shooting the moon is the hardest shot to get. We had a great tutorial on Friday Shoot Out a few weeks ago. I am like you I took a lot of shots but only a few were good. My favorite is the one where you got a touch of color in. Tonight would be good for shooting the Blue Moon but it is just too cloudy in my neck of the woods.

Those are fantastic moon shots. Each one is beautiful and unique. Great idea for a series of note card photos.

What an unusual collection you have here! I always enjoy seeing a full moon on clear nights--it's so relaxing! Great shots you have here--good job!

The third one is my absolute favorite! I love that. I actually love them all. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to get a moon shot (The real moon... not the other kind) I just can't do it with my cheap, shiny red Kodak. Either that, or I'm just pathetic.

Loved these, and you're right that it's just like life and how we look at it.

Mine always come out blurry. Very nice pics.

Wow, Sue!! These are amazing shots! You have beautifully captured God's handiwork in these photos. (In any photos that I have ever taken of the moon, it is not God's handiwork that shows up!)

Wow those are beautiful shots of the moon. We have been having some beautiful full moons recently.
Thanks for your visit yesterday, Sue. It was nice to know I'm not the only one feeling the effects of our gloomy days. Today the sun is shining here. Hope it is for you too.

Your moon shots came out so clear and beautiful!
I've tried and failed many times to capture the moon. My photos always come out blurry. I think i'll have to try a tripod next time.
