Written by Sue, Sunday, September 29, 2013 beautiful Autumn day, temps. 70's
On a beautiful autumn day this week as Dh and I were sitting on the porch, he resting, while recuperating from vertigo, me shelling field peas, almost in unison, we looked up at the sky, he spoke first of how beautiful it was, and said, "Wow, God must really be running today, see all the dust in the sky."
Nahum 1:3~The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked;the Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
Now why do you suppose God put these words in the bible? Would you like to know my thoughts? We have an enemy (satan) whose job is to accuse us, bring discouragement, tell us lies such as "God doesn't care about our situation, doesn't love us, He is to busy, our problems are to small." I could go on and on, as I have many times heard all of the above, and more, especially when the trials were very difficult. God knows all of satan's tricks, and He knows how we are, I think He wanted us to know that He was busy going about His business of taking care of our business. The next time you see the sky filled with clouds, just smile and know that God is still in charge, and that He is never to busy to handle our problems.
