Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

~Friday Photos and Week Wrap-up~

Written by Sue, Friday, October, 6, 2017      beautiful fall day, 80,s

Just a few photos of this week at the farmhouse.

Finished decorating and lighting my favorite place to rest and refresh, and for our "Happy Fall Y'all" party, and hayride this Saturday night.

I got my hair color refreshed by dear daughter,  I was pleased with the results.

I spent most of  today, baking for said party, ginger snaps
chocolate chip cookies, 12 dozens in all. Did you know cookies are like people, they come in all shapes and sizes, at least mine are. I also made a Black Midnight cake, chocolate layers, with caramel icing, yummy!Srry didn't get a photo. maybe when I cut it. ~wink~
Jack went to the groomers today and is looking so spiffy and very fall-ish! We tried a new groomer and were so pleased. He is the sweetest companion ever, maybe one day I will tell the story of how he came to live with us, a very sad beginning but a happy ending. He needed us and we needed him. Why oh why do people abuse animals? When I think of what he went through I cry, even now!

Mr and Mrs farmer are dressed and ready for the party too!

The view from my perch on the porch this afternoon, the patio is ready for the campfire and singing.
Yesterday I picked, shelled peas, snapped green beans, and canned for the pantry!

I love busy, and productive weeks, and this has been one of them, for sure it is not over yet, tomorrow I will be in the kitchen most of the day cooking and preparing dinner for about 20 family and friends! I love to have company come over. don't you?

Have a blessed weekend dear friends,
love,
Sue

Wonderful! We do what we call Fall Fest every year at the end of this month! Our property backs up to a farm and our gracious neighbor lets us use his harvested fields for hay rides! Take lots of photos, Sue! Have fun!

What a fun and interesting fall post! And your hair looks absolutely perfect. (Not a statement that could ever be made about my own hair.)

Hi Sue~

Your porch is so beautiful, very festive and fall-ish!

Love your hair color! I always wanted to be a blond, do they really have more fun... ;0) I'm sure that no matter what your hair color you would have fun, or be fun to be around!

Your cookies look delicious, I love gingersnaps, especially in the fall and winter, so yummy.

Sweet little< jack looks so cute with his new cut. He is lucky to have found you, rescue dogs are just the best! We had a beautiful, German Shorthair that was a rescue dog, he was the most loyal loving dog ever. We still miss him after 30 years.

Hope you had the best time at your fall party!!

Hugs and Love,
Barb

Your hair is gorgeous! Enjoy....
We enjoyed a cookout with our Sunday School class Saturday night. No hayride, but sure enjoyed the genuine homemade kettle corn!
I'm sure your party was fun (what a great setting)!
Amazed as usual at our productivity, Sue! You're amazing :)
