Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

Getting back to a normal routine.

Written by Sue, Monday, August 6, 2018           sunny very hot and humid, temps. 90's

Love~ morning fogs, I haven't seen to many this summer, I also love evening fogs, it is so amazing to see when the fog starts at the pasture and rolls in.

Love~a clean refrigerator/freezer, one of the many things I did today, now if it would stay this way.
Love~ that patriotic decorations are taken down, and packed for next year.  This was bittersweet, Though, taking them down lets me know that fall  decorations are next. Fall is my favorite season, Christmas is my favorite holiday. Did I just say "Christmas"
Love that my plants have been watered and trimmed. I love plants, and have many in my home, these are only a few.
I am rooting the clippings and will soon be transplanting in pots, some will be given as gifts.

With me being away from home for a week, they were so thirsty, I soaked them in the sink, clipped them, and will fertilize, and shine the leaves tomorrow. I use coconut oil.

Just as my plants were neglected, so was my home, today has been spent changing bed linens, laundry, straightening rooms so that tomorrow I will dust, vacuum, mop and clean bathrooms.
I love being a homemaker, it is so nice to be needed, and to see some normalcy.
Hope you had a blessed day!
Sue

I sure hope that you are pacing yourself. All this activity sounds very energetic to me. 🙂 Now that I see all that you’ve accomplished, I should get off this tablet and do something myself! Take care...love to you.

Your refrigerator looks amazing! I don't think mine has looked that good since it was new.

Don't overdo it with the housework ... be sure and pace yourself! Not sure if you are getting heat and humidity like we are, but it's not easy trying to do housework under those conditions.

Fall is my favorite season also, and Christmas is my favorite holiday too!

The photo of your beautiful landscaping with the misty fog is gorgeous!

I am catching up and just read about your hospital stay. Happy you are home and just needing to adjust meds! And look at how much you have accomplished.

Monday is my busiest cleaning day and it includes cleaning out the fridge. How come it doesn't stay that way :)

We have family visiting and I am so happy to have a few minutes to say hi to blogging friends!

Your yard is beautiful and I like foggy mornings too. We get quite a few of them here.
You have been busy and your refrigerator looks so clean and empty.

That misty fog really does make things look magical! We saw it one morning last week while driving the Oregon coast. I love being a homemaker as well. People think it's weird that I enjoy cleaning house and washing dishes. :) Your plants look great!
hugs,
Jann

Sue, so glad you are home and feeling up to snuff! Please don't overdo it though. I tend to do that. I love the fog. I grew up in the Bay Area, CA and we often had morning/evening fog. Your plants look quite happy. I am no good for house plants.

I posted some of the watermelon cards today. I'd love to send you one. If you'd like one, please email me at bylanternlight@yahoo.com

You have been as busy as a bee, Sue! I need you to inspire me...I have so many things to do and little drive to do them. I do agree though that it is the best "tired" you can be after all the tasks are completed and you look around and see all that has accomplished! Fall is my most favorite...and Christmas doesn't show up at my house until after Thanksgiving. :)

Sue,
All of those things bring such satisfaction, don't they? After cleaning the house each week, I just revel in the state of a well-ordered and cleaned house!
