Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Praying and Preparing

Written by Sue, September 12, 2018       sunny, hot and humid. 90's

The farmhouse and farm are in full preparations for hurricane Florence.

The calm before the storm, it is sunny and hot today with lots of clouds, such a beautiful day, then....

The house is boarded up, we have never had to do this before, porch furniture, plants have been moved or laid down. There's a lot of prep. for sure.

The generators are ready to go, at least one is, we bought a larger one, dh plans to put it together this evening.

The hand pump is ready,  so thankful to have an available water supply.

The propane tank is full, the grill is ready to go.
All vehicles fueled up.

Also thankful that the pantry is full

The barns have feed for the animals, the shelters are ready for their protection.

Now, let me see, I think that just about covers everything,

The weather reports have been so confusing, one thing for sure, our heavenly Father is not confused and He knows exactly what is happening, we trust His will, our part is to plan and trust.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and  He shall direct your ways.

Prayers for all those experiencing similar circumstances.
Blessings,
Sue

Oh Sue! I keep forgetting where you are and I certainly didn’t want to see you in the middle of all this. Florence is not to be trusted that’s for sure and I am thrilled to see all your preparations. I know that you’ll boogie outta there if it comes to that, but it appears that you’re hunkering down. Pray tell, where will your mother be? Why do I like to think of her there with you? ☺️ Praying mightily for you, your family, your critters, and your property. Let us know how you are doing if at all possible...

Sue, we are preparing as well. It looks like the hurricane will hit SC more than NC now. Praying for everyone effected by Florence. Stay safe! xo

Oh Sue! I didn't know where you lived, and I'm sorry you're in the path of Florence. She's seems like a nasty one. You certainly look well prepared, and I can imagine how exhausted you are with all the work you've done. Prayers for Florence to veer off or dissipate continue, as well as for protection from harm for all those in her path.

Praying for you and yours and all those in the hurricanes path. You look so well prepared. I think we need to put a generator on our list for our country living.
I'm giving all the blogs I visit fair warning that I might be real scarce as we sort out internet in the country. It will be satellite and just not sure how it will work for blogging. Cheers.

Dear Sue, you and your dear husband have done a great job getting ready and preparing for hurricane Florence. It seems as though you have thought of everything, well done.
She is unpredictable, maybe she will die down and not cause much damage or harm.
Thinking of you and holding this up in prayer~

Hi, sweet Sue! Please know that I am praying for you. We have a couple here who is from North Carolina. They are here for our Bible Missions Conference as he is the speaker for our meetings. Thankfully, members of his church are taking care of his home while he is away. Take care, dear one! Love and hugs sent your way!
