~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

~Learning to be still~

Written by Sue, Sunday June9, 2019    cloudy, rain, rain temps. 70's Yay!
 Good morning Dear Friends enjoying seeing the earth refreshed with some much needed rain, we were asked in our devotion this morning if our morning devotions had become a dry Bible study rather than a warm visit with our heavenly Father. My answer is this, if we allow ourselves to pause and use the five senses that God has given us there is no way our devotions could become dry, the key is to stop, be still.
I find that in this busy, new tech world we find ourselves running constantly, sometimes in circles, until we are exhausted, with mental and physical overload. If only we would stop, sit still, breath deeply,using those senses, time with our heavenly Father will indeed be warm, intimate, exhilarating and then our mental, physical, but most of all our spiritual strengths are renewed.

Psalm 46:10~ Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.
Have a blessed Sunday,
love,
Sue

Yay for rain! (In your corner not mine! We have had so much that we are moldy and pruney.) Being still before The Lord is not always easy. It is always vitally important.

We are having a rainy weekend and loving every minute of it! We were SO dry and the lawn and flowers will be so pretty now! I love your pretty decorations! Wish we could all come over and sit on the porch together! It wouldn't be very peaceful though....would it? heehee! Hugs!

Wonderful reminder to breathe and take in the moment and enjoy God’s simply blessings. Troubles just dissipate at the magnitude of God’s glory!
