Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

~Just chillin out~

Written by Sue, Tuesday, July17, 2011                       hot, humid, temp 98, heat index 105
Since most of us are under a heat wave, I thought I might cool things down for all of us. These photos were taken  Christmas 2010, which is a rarity here in the South. Granddaughter Katie's birthday is on Dec. 26, her prayer and wish was to have snow! There is not enough words to describe her excitement when it began to snow! Never under estimate  the prayer of a child. She didn't just pray for snow, she believed it was going to snow. A lesson for us adults!
My note cards for July are  called.....
~Snow days at the farm~

There! now, are you feeling a bit cooler, I know I am. Seasons come and go but one thing for sure, our Lord remains steadfast! Hebrews 13:8~ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and  today, and forever.
Stay cool,
Sue

Today I am happy to join July's Note Card Party, hosted by my friend Vee, Please feel free to join the party and share four of your favorite photos! Thank you Vee for hosting.

What a wonderful choice! Wish I had thought of that. I need all the inspiration I can get to chill out and cool down around here. I can't pick a favorite from your selection. I like them all equally!

There was one point today when I was so warm I could have actually jumped in the pond there and have been happy. I love the story behind this snowfall. Now if ever this child doubts in her life, remind her of the time she prayed for snow. Thank you for the cooling!

What lovely photos!!! My son prayed for snow one year and we of course never get snow and it snowed. There was that faith of a child that is so sweet.
I wish you cooler days

What great images. I'm cooler just looking at them, imagining the cold seeping through my clothes. I love snow but we don't get much of it here on Vancouver Island.

A lovely set for note cards.
