~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

~Carrying On~

Written by Sue, Wednesday ,April 1, 2020   Cloudy, temps. 50, a quick cool spell Here we go- Thank you Joyce.

From this Side of the Pond

1.Has spring sprung in your part of the world? Did March come in like a lion where you live? Going out like a lamb or something more ferocious?

Yes, spring has sprung, March came in like a lamb and went out like a lamb!.
The grass is green, flowers are beginning to bloom, bees are buzzing, birds are making their nests.

2. The last thing that caused you to spring to your feet?
Can't think of a thing.

3.Do you have a spring clean to-do list?
Indeed I do,
What's one chore you've managed to accomplish?
I always start with my kitchen, the cabinets inside and out , windows , countertops, refrigerator, stovetop, were completed last week.

What spring chore do you dread the most?
Just getting started. ~wink~

This week I have been busy with garden chores., cleaning the potting shed

4.Tell us something you've learned about yourself or the wider world as a result of social distancing/the virus crisis.
My faith is stronger than ever, that faith cancels out  fear! Nothing can compare to the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
Phillipians:4:6-7
I have learned that the world is really a small place, and that people really do care about one another, That we are all in this together.

5.Something you love that's the color pink?
Pink toilet paper, that I hope I never have to use. ~wink~these were sent to me a few years ago from a friend who lives on  Prince Edward Island.

6. Insert your random thoughts here.
No doubt about it we are all in a crisis, Mr P. and I  try and keep things as normal as possible.  This is the beginning of our busy gardening season, so we have been busy planting. When I am out in my garden, for a brief moment it seems as though things are normal,  I am not dwelling about all that is happening all around me; personally watching to much news is not healthy for anyone.
I find the solitude in the garden renews my spirit, strengthens me, spiritually, emotional, and most assuredly physically.
All the beds are planted, just waiting for the seeds to pop up! The beds will soon be filled with produce.

I'm still enjoying my evening walk, here Dre is bringing the sheep in for the night

Remember, we are all in this together.

A special thank you to all who stopped by last week and for your sweet comments.

Another special thanks to Joyce for hosting .Wednesday Hodgepodge, please join.

praying for God's continued blessings
 upon you and your family.
Sue

That is one clean potting shed! Well done. Yes, we should come out of this stronger in our face and loving our God more. Thank you for your post. May God keep you both healthy and well!

wow, I am impressed with that potting shed! Amazing! I can't wait to see all the things you will be growing this year. So wonderful to have fresh vegies, etc. Our kids are doing some garden beds much like yours, and are just getting planted. Thankfully we finally had some rain last night, and a cool day in the 50's-60's, which is amazing for Florida! Yes, I agree, staying away from the news is probably the best thing we can do for ourselves right now. We may not be able to go many places, but I am so thankful for the outdoors and the beauty God has placed around us. We are blessed. Please take care. Love all those beautiful sheep.

I had almost forgotten that toilet paper used to be available in colors. As a child I had an aunt who always matched her toilet paper to the towels in her bathroom.

Blessings, and stay well!

You are ahead of me....I was going to clean out my kitchen cabinets this week, but I know I need to take a lot of things to Goodwill and they are not taking drop offs right now.
Looks like you have the perfect place for a good garden. The sheep picture brought a big smile . take care...be safe

It's so beautiful where you live! Your potting shed is so nice, and clean as well. Good that you will grow your own produce, because then you will have to go to the store less. I have never seen pink toilet paper!

What a beautiful rose! We are a long way from seeing roses bloom here in SW Idaho.

Oh, my, I remember colored toilet paper. When I was growing up (60's and 70's), we always bought the pink. I didn't even know it was made anymore.

Yes, this situation is not out of God's control, and as we look to him, we will have his peace. How thankful I am for that!

Blessings,
Patti

Sue, oh that pink toilet paper is just too much! Exquisite! ♥

Those sheep look happy to walk with you! :-)

I agree with your #4. During these trying times, I have drawn even closer to the Lord and found His peace. xoxo

I also had forgotten that toilet paper used to come in colors. I think it cost extra, if I am remembering right.

Good verse for your #4. So thankful we can rest in God in these crazy times. It has never been out of His control for one moment!

And your potting shed is quite amazing!

I love your answer to #4.
Pink toilet paper?? Do they still make that? I can barely remember all the pretty colors it came in when I was a kid.

Hi Sue~

I like your way of thinking! We are all in this together, and God is at the Helm!

I love your garden beds! I haven't planted a garden for a few years, but this year one is going in. Being outdoors just brings peace to my soul like nothing else can, I need more of that...now if it would quit snowing ;0)

I love to see your "green" photos, it makes me feel warm! So glad you are staying well!

Hugs and Love,
Barb

Oh, so lovely visiting with you, Sue! I enjoyed reading your thoughts♥
I agree with you...just getting started with something is the biggest hurdle! {{smiles}} Hope the Spring cleaning is going well!
Oh yes, how thankful I am to be able to lean on the Lord and look to Him for strength for each new day. We have been able to draw closer to Him through this ordeal, and spend more time in prayer and the reading of His Word together as a family.
I am so impressed...your garden is beautiful! I too love gardening and always find I can bury my troubled by digging in the dirt!
May the rest of your week be wonderful!
Blessings,
~ Kelly-Anne

What a fabulous potting shed! I had one in my England garden but not here. I need to set up a table or something to work from to save my back. Happy Spring!

Pink toilet paper - what a lovely idea - to be honest I'd be happy with any colour TP at the moment.

Totally not shocked to see that you are keeping yourselves busy! You are both such hard-working people and I am sure that it is good for you. That and, even more importantly, trusting the Lord is good for you!!

What a clean and tidy potting shed . . . and what a clean and tidy kitchen! Happy to hear that you are all well!

I've learned that I enjoy my own company, thankfully. Not that the days don't have difficult moments, but I'm so grateful for a cozy apartment and more than enough to eat. Learning lessons of faith and patience every day.

PINK TOILET PAPER !!! That is such a gift (in may ways)!!

Working out in the garden has been my therapy, too! But one thing that I'm having a hard time starting is my Spring Cleaning.
Love visiting the Farm!

Sue, your potting shed is so clean. I still do not have one, but perhaps in the next few years we will create one. The pink TP is so funny. I remember growing up we had blue for our blue bathroom. Thank you for your encouraging words. Yes, God will bring us through this. Blessings, Kathi
