Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

~Blogger issues fixed, and a few notes~

Monday, January 10,2022                 Partly sunny, cool, 50's  a beautiful winter day!

Just a quick note this morning, Blogger is doing so much better not because of anything I did, I give all the credit to My Fairy Blog Mother, Linda, and to all of you who recommended her, and encouraged me.

After many hours trying to fixate gadgets myself, (I am stubborn, I admit) I decided to contact Linda, she responded ever so quickly, since my server was not responding properly we talked by phone. A few words to describe her are: pleasant, helpful, sweet, eager to resolve the problem, and very, very patient!

I also have made a new friend, my goal is to renew and make new friends in 2022! A big "thank you" to linda and to all who recommended her. If you need any help please contact Linda I know you will adore her.

A second note, I am following the advice of a blogging friend  and trying to post shorter posts more often. I am not making any promises though, as I am a talker for sure.ha ha

A few things we did during Christmas,  I know everyone is tired of seeing decorations, just bear with me!

We decorated..

this is a view from the dining room looking into the foyer, I am happy to to report all Christmas was packed and put away by January 2.~wink~

The living room family tree, it has ornaments our children made when they were small, special ornaments from family and friends, we added a few more this year.

And this is the reason for the season.

We made ginger bread houses,  real intense work here, they were in a contest,Zeke wanted to help!

We baked....
We took rides lots of rides in the country, (yes, deep country) to watch the sun go down!

We celebrated birthdays.....
This was Lilly's  12th birthday with her school friends here at the farm also making gingerbread houses.

I knew it, I knew it, I just couldn't make a short post! Sincere apologies to my friend, and to you all!

Have a great day,
Sue

Your family is beutiful, and the sunset is gorgeous! And your foyer is like a fairy land, I would never want to take the decorations down! When I first started blogging, I wrote incredibaly long posts till peoplestarted telling me that most don't have the time to plow thru them, and to make them shorter. That was no problem, since I posted more often to make up for it. But I STILL do sometimes make them too long, I just can't help it! Your little dog is adrable!!! I hope he got a lot of Christmas treats! And now you have inspired me to post more Christmas pics, even though it is so far after.

Your Christmas decor looks fabulous. Ours always looks so bare when I pack it away.
You are so right about writing posts.
There is such a thing as too long. A nice post with photos and some text is always appreciated. I was happy to help you with your problem.
So happy to see you blogging again. Cheers to a bright New Year.

I just love Linda. She has helped me so many times over the years. She is a bright, beautiful soul...and a beauty outside to boot.
Your Christmas looks like ti was lovely.
I find that I post more often when I go with shorter posts and it seems that people are more apt to read them and comment.
I hope you have a great week- xo Diana

Oh, I just knew you would love Linda. She is such a dear and oh, so smart with blogs and all the inner workings of them.

I didn't find this a long post at all and I don't mind a long post as long as it's not rambling and you are not a rambler but some folks are and I get lost in their posts.

Have a wonderful week Sue!

Your home is so beautifully decorated for the Christmas season! Always hard to take things down, and pack away, so I always leave up twinkly lights and candles on timers for the dark days that last into March. It really helps each night to see the twinkly lights and candles come on!

So lovely to see your family having such fun together! And your post was not long at all! I loved it! Happy New Year to you :)
