Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Monday meanderings~

Written by Sue, Monday, April 11, 2011
Sunday was so beautiful, It started out with us having these, eggs fresh from the hen house. Oh! so delicious. Look at that yolk, so full of protein. "Hey, I like lots of pepper on my eggs.

waited until late evening to take my walk, I can't seem to make up my mind if late evening or early morning is my favorite time of day. Anyhow evening won out. As I was beginning my walk, I noticed how calm the wind was, the air was so clean and fresh. I took some photos...
The sun going down behind the trees, made it my favorite time of day...

I've been waiting to see the wild Dogwood trees. Wild flowers have a uniqueness  about them that is indescribable.

These Canadian geese have been visiting us about this time for several years. They were not happy about being photographed, and let me know it too.

The English peas are really growing. Those tracks belong to a certain Mr. P.,... seeing these tracks reminded me of when I was a child, and I would follow my uncle as he was plowing with his mule. I tried so hard to place my feet in his tracks but couldn't, but it didn't stop me from trying.

always know that spring has finally sprung, when I see guys like these, I caught him relaxing in the sun. Some guys, really are stuck on themselves
He really has made himself at home. There is something about this farm,... all animals both wild and domestic enjoy, and for some reason they feel, and make themselves at home
Enjoy your day, as you too begin to experience this new season.
until next time
Sue

I tried to leave you a message yesterday, but I think your comments must have been off. I loved your Sunday post as well as this one.

Sending you warm hugs for a wonderful week, Sue.

Love you...

Is that a skink? I love your place it is so pretty and I love how tall your English peas have gotten so fast.
I love you walk at sunset. I think yesterday was just a beautiful day all around.
Thanks for sharing.

I can't blame that little guy for wanting to hang out on your porch. It looks like a most beautiful and peaceful place to be. I'm feeling excited by the peas growing in my teeny vegetable garden, but yours would have me positively thrilled.
I spent most of the day outside yesterday doing some gardening and soaking up the beauty of a perfect spring day.
Wishing you a wonderful week. Oh, and you have inspired me to have an egg for breakfast tomorrow :). That sure does look yummy!!

You have the most beautiful views from your farmhouse. I thought that yesterday as I looked at all the sheep grazing and realized that you were seeing that from your front porch. Simply wonderful. Your wee guest is kinda cute, but he'd make me freak right out. I'm afraid that I'd have to dispatch him to the garden.

Sue, all those pics are lovely... that little lizard is just so cute making himself at home.... my sister has been wondering why her lantern in the front yard has been turning on during the day, so she went out to investigate, and found a lizard hiding out in the little hole, catching bugs.... I was in her front yard yesterday, and sure enough, there he was! they have personality, don't they?

Your post about the Sheep and the Shepherd was beautiful...
Hugs, Jenni

YIKES! I might live in a farmhouse, but I am NOT a farm girl! We have skinks on our back porch in the summer, but they are not welcome guests. I lean more toward the furry creatures like your sweet sheep and darling donkeys. :-D

Early morning is my favorite time of day. That's when I go for my walks - seems to get my day started on the right foot.

Whatever that lizard-looking thing is wouldn't "set well" with me! EEK!

I started reading..and I hadn't done my walking, so you motivated me, I shut down the computer and went walking first...an evening walk.

I love your pictures and we are having little lizards everywhere...even here in this crowded neighborhood. If I lived near you I would probably make myself right at home also.

Fun post, so relaxing, I can see your farm.

Hi Sue,
You better not get those geese mad or to close to you! lol I've seen a few that go into the attack mode.
Your farm looks beautiful at this time of year.
I'm sure it's so peaceful when you take your walks.
Have a good week, friend.
Hugs!

Hi Sue,
I loved going for a walk with you and especially the tracks in the row of peas...reminded me of my grandfather's garden in the early spring. When we lived in Florida, we had little skinks running all over the backyard fences and I thought they were the cutest! Great pictures.

I can smell the morning air in those fresh eggs...mmmm!! I am not to fond of lizards when they get in my house, but love to sit on the porch and watch them.

Love the view of the sheep off your front porch too.....we truly have a wonderful Shepherd and what a wonderful Blessing He has given us all!

Morning Sue,
Thanks so much for coming by and for your prayers for my sleeping issues.
Slept really well until about 4:30 a.m., and have been awake every since. So finally got up about 10 of 7, was just praying and thinking until then!! We prayed about it before we went to bed and I have to say I went to sleep right away and slept perfectly until 4:30, cause several nights before that I have had an awful time just getting to sleep cause of my neck, just can't get in any position that is comfortable, and I try every pillow
in the house and the recliner!!
I heard a song someone had on their blog, and in the song it said what if our blessings come through the rain, and what if our healing comes thru tears and if it takes 5000 sleepless nights to know you are near!! and I was thinking boy can I relate to that, but I was thinking Lord I know your near hope it isn't gonna take 5000 of these!! lol Cause it has already been about 45 or so I would say, and it is really catching up to me!! lol

Hubby had a very good interview yesterday and the CEO is very interested and is wanting him to come up with a figure.....they do not have health Ins. so of course,
hubby said that was a must, so he told him to figure out how much $$ it would take, so we have been dealing with that all day yesterday, a good problem to have I might add...lol!!
We are still waiting to hear from the Lord, we've told him what we are thinking and asking him what He wants now, so hopefully this morning we will get some answers, cause the Lord told hubby he is opening doors, so we are assuming this door, but not totally sure since he has had 3 interviews in the last months, but the other 2 have shown no interest at this point. We are trying not to be too excited as you just never know how these things are gonna go, and we do feel like the Lord is testing our faith in Him, and we really are
on board with that!!

Loved all your spring pics from your walk, my fav was from your post before it with all the sheep in your front yard. What a peaceful
scene! You should frame that!!
Simply Beautiful!!

So how have you been doing these days?? Are you sleeping well??
Hope so, my friend, if not let me
know so I can pray for you too!!

Have a great new day!
Love and Blessings, Nellie

Your most recent post (the one following this one) is beautiful.
I feel the same way when I turn the key in my lock. I know the scent of my home, and other family members, too! Home is a blessing, and making it home for my family is a wonderful blessing too.
I haven't been able to figure out how to follow you yet, but if I do, I will! Or if you would, just let me know what I 'm missing. Thank you!
