Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

One of the most wonderful benefits from blogging has been sharing our hearts,  and of our  prayer needs with one another. Also of our great joys such as my two friends Cheryl and Debbie, they both are rejoicing, in the birth of two special babies, Isabel, Cheryl's niece's first baby, and Samuel, Debbie's daughter Mel, and dh Mike, being welcomed into their families.... May all of their hopes and dreams be fulfilled.

I am so glad to call these two ladies my friend, they always  inspire and encourage  me. Click on their names and you will be able to visit and rejoice with them,  What a joy for me to rejoice with them too, I find it so amazing that I am able to connect with ladies I have never personally met, but would so love to.... Blogging has afforded me the honor and privilege of meeting some of the most wonderful women I have ever known. I enjoy reading about your days more than mine. ~smiling~...

Here are a few of my favorite fall plants, this is an ornamental grass, she sits in the garden all summer looking like a weed, and then all of a sudden she struts her stuff.

This Purple Salvia, does the same.

I am always amazed at how these
(An advantage  while picking pole beans is.. I get to stand up. ~grinning~)

become these in a matter of a few hours.
Yesterday was spent gathering and preparing more pole beans for winter. This week will be a busy one, I have more beans to pick and can, prepping the garden for winter, and planting fall and winter crops. Hmmm, does this mean I am on a blog break this week???  ~smile~ Be back soon!
Enjoy your day,
Hugs,
Sue

I've been to Debbie's blog and congratulated her a few days ago and saw the adorable pictures! I love that purple grass! That would look lovely in the garden come fall! Enjoy your day!

I have seen the grass in your first photo when I've been out driving country roads. It is so pretty. It almost looks like a pink cloud and looks especially nice on a day when the sky is blue :).
Don't work too hard.

Oh yes...rejoicing with these new babies and all those who get to hold them!!....what a joy and how exciting.
Last week was mourning with the loss of two little girls...their grandmothers shared on their blog...the babies are now in heaven as I continue to pray for their families left behind and the young mothers...yes, these blogging friends become so dear to our hearts...the rejoicing, tears, prayers and laughter that it brings

Love the pictures...love the beans. Benjamin told me our yard is big enough for corn next year...so we will try. I am thinking we will get one ear at time...nothing to store up with...LOL, but we will try
Have a great week.

I always enjoy seeing what you are doing with the work of your hands. Your green beans look great.
This is the prettiest time of the year I think.
Have a wonderful week, I just stopped by the computer on my way to get my vacuum.
So I better get with it.
I will be thinking of you while I do my work. I have these pretend conversations with you. :)

Hello Sue! I had a few minutes as Mel is busy nursing, so I decided to visit a few of my favorite friends in blog world and I am soo glad as always that I stopped by here. It really is an amazing God that can connect us in the ways that He has, even though we live thousands of miles apart and have never met in person. How grateful I am to know you and count you as one of my very special friends. The encouragement and spirit filled love I always find here is just part of the reasons I love to visit here. I LOVE LOVE the stories of your life on the farm too. The ornamental grass you've shown here here today is just gorgeous, as is the purple salvia! And your beans! They look soo good. Yes, blogging opened up a whole new world of friendship for me, and I am soo grateful....Thank you soo much for all of your prayers for Sam and Mel and Mike. It is all going soo well. God is good ALL of the time! Hugs to you my kindred spirit friend, Debbie

Sue! Try to imagine my surprise today as I came to visit you here at Peartree Lane Farmhouse...and saw my name! I am very humbled by your sweet words, and you must know that I am the one who feels blessed to know you.
You are so right about the friendships that we make here in Blogland. They are real and they are true, and I am thankful for them!

I just love your pictures - and I almost wish I had something to "can"...wait, tomorrow I am going to an apple orchard. I hope to make my own applesauce (rather adventureous for this city girl) and put it up for the longer months ahead. That is, of course, if I don't bake all the apples into dumplin's, cakes, donuts, etc.:)

Also, so excited for Debbie and her Mel's little Samuel....been following that long awaited arrival since the beginning!

Have a beautiful week:)

Hello Dear Friend,

I agree that it is so special to be able to build friendships with people that we have met through blogging. Each friendship is so unique, and a blessing.

"Struts her stuff" that's too cute... Love the way you said that. Very pretty ornamental grass. Love that color. I've never been successful growing salvia :o( Yours is thriving, so lush and vibrant, and photogenic :o)

Pole beans in a jar, I don't see things like that around here. I like your lamp shade lights in the kitchen.

God bless you friend,
HUGS

I love your header photo! Hope you have gotten your food all put up and able to relax a bit. I will go and check out your friends blogs. Have a great day!

I am so late to this! Your blog doesn't come up on my home page so I have to remember to check my sidebar to see if you have updated. Clearly, that system isn't working so well for me. UGH.

I could not agree with you more about making friends in blog land that become dear to your heart. I recently told one of my daughters that I had met more people who "thought" like me and shared my world view in blog land than in any other demographic. (And I am even including my church demographic in that.)

What a wonderful place full of precious people.

(Hope some day THIS Debbie gets to shout out a grandchild. Yes... I know... all in good time. )

Sue, that was wonderful news about the new additions to your friends' families! What a blessing for both of them.
Your flowers are so lovely- isn't it funny how they disguise themselves until they decide to bloom? :)
Your green beans are making my mouth water... when is supper? *hehe*
