Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

A little of this, and a little of that.

How often do you have dreams? It seems I have been having dreams more often these days. They have been really sweet dreams, in my dreams I have been having some wonderful meetings with old acquaintances, with actual conversations, so real that I wake smiling, only to wish that they had actually happened. ~smile~This has nothing to do with my post today, I was just wondering. I guess I must be getting old.~wink~

*****************************************************
What an absolutely beautiful fall day we have had today, I worked in the green house, potting more pansies, I'll show later this week where they went, you might be surprised.~wink~

Building this green house for me was one of the nicest things Mr P has done. I love being out here next to the chicken coop, listening to the different sounds the chickens, turkeys, and guineas make.I guess you might say I am a true blue COUNTRY GIRL.

I decided it was time to start my exercise program of walking again, I walked 2 miles today and took some photos.
Tom was out strutting too.

I went by to see the donkeys, they always come running looking for treats.

This is my white, blue eyed baby, our other donkeys are brown with brown eyes.

While I was out walking Mr P. was getting the garden ready to plant strawberries, tomorrow, we, (DH and I) will plant 400 plants. I Just love my  farm boy on a tractor. Notice our trees are still green with a few hints of fall.

I am dreaming of these in a few months.

Thanks for visiting,
I hope your day was filled with many blessings,
Sue

p.s. Where have the bloggers gone? I read today that another blogger was leaving blogland, please don't leave me here in blogland by myself.~smile~

What a delightful post this evening. I would love to work in the greenhouse enjoying the sights and sounds. The donkeys are sweet as can be! I know planting 400 plants is hard work but so worth the end result with beautiful strawberries.
I tend to dream the same dreams over and over - for 20 years or more!

I hope you have a very nice evening.

Oh, I'm not going anywhere. We are about to have our pansies planted. Notice I said, have them planted. :o)) Shame on us, but our landscaper takes care of our spring and fall plantings for us. I can't believe I just admitted that to you, of all people. I love seeing all your pics of your country life, it reminds me of my daughter's life. She was raised a city slicker, married an Oklahoma cowboy and he moved her to the country and the rest is history. Happy everything!

Hi Sue, I love visiting here and reading your wonderful posts and always enjoy your photos.
I love listening to chickens too, they always sound so happy!
Wow, you will have lots of strawberries! If I lived close by, you might have a hard time keeping me out of your garden. :)
Have a nice week!
Cheryl

I dream. A lot! Usually try to write them down while they're fresh on my mind in the morning....

A greenhouse! How blessed you are!

I probably won't leave blogging. It serves as a "picture journal" for me. Mostly I do it for myself with little expectation of others noticing.... :)

Always like to hear of others walking. : )
What a wonderful green house you have.
Ah strawberries, one of life's pleasures.
I dream often!

Another one leaving the fold? Don't leave please. I plan to hang around. I suppose it might be time to search about and find some new bloggers who need encouragement. Good for you for walking. Sounds like tomorrow will be full of exercise for you...or is that today? :)

I am always sad when those in my blogging circle leave Blogland. It's like losing a dear friend! I suppose many things have a "season," and maybe blogging is one of those things. Who knows? I am not planning on stopping anytime soon, although I have slowed down in the past couple of years. I have been happy to see you posting more frequently!

A hubby-made greenhouse is a lovely gift!!

Hi Sue! I've seen you on Instagram and found your blog, how happy I am to know you are not quitting blogging either, seeing as I have just found you! I have no intentions of quitting either, as I enjoy just sharing when the inspiration comes. I think the hardest thing about blogging is if you put yourself on a schedule, and expect to post at certain intervals. I find blogging more enjoyable when I write when inspiration comes.

I love the greenhouse your husband built for you, that concrete floor is amazing! I planted 100 strawberry plants last year, and they have multiplied this year. We love our strawberries!

Your donkeys are adorable, love those blue eyes! So sweet!

Big hugs to you today :)

I know, it does seem that so many bloggers are leaving and going to Instagram. I do post some pics on Instagram but I don't think it is anywhere near fulfilling as blogging. I need to get walking too and I really need someone to kick me in the rear to get me started! I know once I begin, it will become just part of my daily routine. I rarely have complete dreams that I can remember...usually they make NO sense at all. I have also been able to dream, wake up, and then the dream will continue...but it has been a while since that has happened! Blessings!

I know just the type of dreams you are talking about, and I have had a few of those recently too! LOVE as always seeing your beloved donkeys and hearing of your farm life. I just can't seem to get back into the swing of blogging like I used to. I get to missing hearing what's been happening in my little circle of bloggers and pop back on here to catch up. I really don't want to give it up but I just don't put the time into it any more as I should. Part of that is the small small response I get to my posts making me thing I've nothing too interesting to say anymore anyway, lol. But I will tell you what I do love. Going back....reading all my thoughts and feelings and what I felt the Lord was teaching me through some of the more dramatic seasons of my life. The passing of my mom...my bout with breast cancer...and of course the exciting things too like the birth of new grand babies and special events. I don't want to stop this "journal" until I just can't do it anymore which hopefully will be a long time. Meanwhile I am soo glad your blogging again. Love visiting here. Have a good rest of your week Sue.

HI Sue, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I love your farm and all the animals. I'm a southern born country girl although I now live in a small town. I was going to follow you but didn't find a "follow" button.

Haha. I don't think you'll get left in Blogland all alone. :-) I am hoping to work my way back into blogging after several months of sparse attendance. After a second hip surgery on the same hip, sitting was the absolute worst thing for it, so I moved over to Instagram (so easy to do from anywhere, even lying down.) I do miss the more personal aspect of blogging and all the wonderful people over here in blogland.

Love those donkeys! My friend who is a donkey fan, would be so jealous. Hopefully she can get a donkey or two someday.

Have a wonderful weekend, Sue. And I know what you mean about those dreams. I have them too, from time to time. Very real. Don't want them to stop. :-) - Judy

Sue, I'm wondering who is leaving blogland now-please share. I don't have any plans on it, but somedays its harder to blog than others. Love seeing your farm; good for you walking today. It is so cold here right now, most of the family are talking about going someplace warm. I also wanted to ask you what bloggers you know from Maine-I only know one(at least I think it was you who left a comment about knowing several).
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Noreen

I love those kinds of dreams!
I also love your donkeys, they are so cute. I was raised on a farm and I love the country life too.
I hate seeing people leave blogland, but I'm not planning to myself.

It’s always ssd when a good friend leaves (blogland).
It looks like you have s great following, of loyal followers.
Walking is my style of exercise, I don’t have adorable donkeys. I’m taken with the blue eyed sweetie. I have blue eyes! Maybe that’s why he’s my guy.
Ok, strawberries and a husband who plants them! How great is that!
