My simple pleasure today is being able to go out to my garden and gather these...
Come in the house slice them and add to this....
To put on and in this....
go for a walk, come back in the house to the most wonderful aroma of this...
And the best simple pleasure was to hear dh say"mmmm this is so good." Such sweet music to my ears. I love to garden and I love to cook, especially if the veggies come from my garden. I found many simple pleasures today, but I chose this one because the end product brought a much welcomed Simple pleasure to DH.

Thankyou for the yummy recipe. Yes, there is a wonderful sense of pleasure of picking and using your own produce.
Oh, my I can smell that delightful looking chicken all the way over here! There is nothing quite like picking and cooking with your own garden picked veggies. Loved your Simple Pleasure today.

Some of my best recipes have come from Blogging friends. It looks like I got another one (recipe & friend)!
I know that feeling...and your chicken looks wonderful too! :D
Sue, your chicken looks great and I'm sure is delicious - makes me hungry just looking at it!
What joy it is to make our DH's happy.
bless you..Trish

Hi Sue:
It's breakfast with Christine and dinner with Sue. This looks and sounds delicious. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Blessings,

Oh I so agree...what a wonderful pleasure...and stopping by here is one of mine!
I think you nailed a very good simple pleasure. When we put in a garden last year for the first time in years, I had a whole new interest in cooking.
Now on another topic. I'm confused. I thought you weren't posting because there was never an update on "Where Memories are Made". That's the one that comes up on my homepage even though I think it says "Pear Tree Lane."
How do I follow here so I don't miss a post? I don't see little faces grinning back anywhere...
Can you email me at wordsonwheels@live.com if it's possible?
Mmmm...mmmmmm :) I love the smell of chicken baking with all the yumminess of fixings and the best part is the pure freshness of it all.
Nothing better than the aroma of a baking chicken and I do believe with your fresh onions and spices, it must have been out of this world.
PERFECT simple pleasure...yummmm, but your right..a happy hubby is definitely another! Have a wonderful day! HUGS
YUM! Can I come to din-din?
Hope you'll top by the Beach Bungalow sometime for a visit!

That chicken looks so good. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I agree that picking fresh things from the garden and then turning them into a delicious meal is truly a simple pleasure.
Oh I am green with envy! My garden is still under about 5 feet of snow! Last week it was under 6 feet but we had some warm weather for melting! Spring is coming.
That looks delicious.
Simple pleasures have a way of becoming the big things!
A very delightful, heartwarming and tummy filling simple pleasure!
Oh my! Onions already? You're obviously in a part of the country where I'm not! ;-) Beautiful photos....unbelievable 'farm' house!
Sue, this is a great post! Thank you so much for the recipe! Thank you so much for your encouraging comments to me!
I had my first garden last spring and well, I'm learning. Can't wait to do it again, though!
Oh Sue your chicken looked so good I could almost taste it! I love simple pleasures too and also to hear my hubby say he enjoyed the meal. He is so sweet to thank me each evening for dinner!

After reading your post about spring onions I walked out to my garden and harvested some growing in my garden. Tomorrow I will use them when I bake a hen. You turned your simple pleasure into mine also.

Sue, so nice to see you at the Simple Pleasures party, and what a great post this is. Cooking for loved ones ... the pleasure is on both ends of that one.
