~Yellow is beautiful~

Written by Sue,Tuesday, May 15,2012.....          a very beautiful day, temps. high 80's
I am joining Vee and many friends for Her Notecards party~May tonight, These note cards are called...

."Yellow is Beautiful",

These are perennial sunflowers, they multiply so fast, and are very dependable.
Angels trumpet, a very stunning bloom,
A Sunflower, one of my favorite flowers,
An okra blossom, oh so pretty!

"Thank you Vee, for always being such a gracious hostess, I posted these blooms especially for you as I know yellow is your favorite color."

Please feel free to join the party.

A Haven for Vee

Personal note:To all those who stopped by today for my previous post, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to leave such sweet notes, and I will reciprocate tomorrow, as it is late,  and I need time to stay and visit for a while.
"savoring more moments"

Very nice notecards today. They look fantastic.

Cheryl May 15, 2012 at 10:35 PM

Beautiful flowers indeed...and beautiful photographs. I particularly love sunflowers. They are so cheerful!

Vee is a gracious hostess, I agree.

Vee May 15, 2012 at 10:38 PM

For me? How sweet of you!

Why is it that the color yellow never fails to make me smile? Do you have a color like that or is this a particular quirk of mine?

These would make beautiful note cards for sure. I'd buy a set today!

Debbie May 16, 2012 at 5:31 AM

I would frame every one of those for my home. They would be perfect to cheer up some unhappy spaces. Pink is my favorite color, but why is it that even in flowers I'm just so happy inside when I see yellow?

Maybe my favorite color is really yink or pellow.

Those are very beautiful yellow cards....Isn't Vee a great lady to inspire us so?

I love yellow! Bright and cheerful color. I'd definitely want Note Cards with your flowers. Isn't an okra bloom gorgeous -- and the okra isn't bad either! :D :D Lovely selections for Vee's party! Party On!

Good morning! These are all so pretty. I especially like the trumpets...soo different. Enjoy your day Sue!

Oh yellow, the color of sunshine, lemonade and friendship and all the beauties you photographed too. Those Angel Trumpets look like they came straight out of a fairy tale, just lovely. It would be a joy to receive any of this with a note.

The flowers are all lovely and would make delightful note cards, Sue. I just adore sunflowers, they are one of my favorites! I don't remember seeing an angel's trumpet before, it's very pretty.
Have a nice day!

Simply beautiful, dear Sue! I say this all the time, but just have to say it again "God is such an artist, isn't He?" and I think yellow is such a happy color... and I love the sweet fragrance the Angel's Trumpet flowers release in the evening.....

I'm catching up on my blog reading today.... Grammie is still in the hospital....thanks for prayers!
Big hugs,

Are all of these flowers blooming around your home? How pretty! Yellow is so cheery - you're fortunate to have such great color surrounding you. No wonder you seem so happy all the time! :)

Have a wonderful weekend, Sue!

Those are such beautiful shots. Sunflowers are one of my favorites too. They are such a magestic flower and tasty too. I have to keep the seedlings covered up to keep the birds from eating them as soon as they pop out of the dirt!

Bernadine May 20, 2012 at 5:48 AM

I love yellow in the garden. The squash I planted from seed have the most beautiful yellow flowers. They bring a smile to my face every time I go out there in the morning.

Sandy May 21, 2012 at 10:25 PM

Yellow is indeed beautiful!

Paula May 22, 2012 at 10:06 AM

Oh yes, yellow IS beautiful and you found such lovely examples! I've been away for so long that it almost feels strange blogging again. I loved your conversation with the ladybug... and your tolerance of Mr. Rooster. :)

Blessings, Debbie

Dear Sue,
I really enjoyed your blog post along with the photos of the pretty flowers.

You know what? I keep having to add your blog to my blog roll, because for some reason, Blogger keeps deleting it :( :( So that's why I'm not able to keep up with all of your blog posts!!! Do you have a way to sign up via email, too? That way I would never miss a post!!! I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you!!!

Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :) :) :)

Sharing thoughts from my heart with you,

The farmer and his friends
Thank you so much for coming by, please come and visit anytime.

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

The phrase "There's no place like home", is so true.

No matter where I go, I always love turning the key and hearing that clicking sound in the lock of our back door . Even if I have only gone shopping, I am so happy to be home.

Did you know that every home has its own scent, the first thing I do is sniff the air, and I offer a quiet prayer of thankfulness, and for safety.

My decorating style is my own, I decorate with the colors and treasures that are me. One of the things that I have enjoyed about blogging is the difference in how we all view the world, and our homes. Just like our Creator made each of us to be unique, we create our own unique styles and colors in our own homes. I have learned so much from you and enjoyed your homes so much, and have learned so much about you from your homes...

I truly believe that God wants us to have a safe haven to come home too, a place we can claim as our own,... just like us, homes come in all shapes and sizes if love is there it is our home.., if our things are there it is our home. When we add our own personal touches, it is our home

Home is a place we can go to when the storms of life are raging. I often listen to the wind and rain when it is coming down hard and am reminded of the safety of our sheltering home. It is the one place that we control what and who comes in, (well, most of the time. lol)

Sometimes late at night, when I am unable to sleep I will get up and as I am walking across the room, I hear the floor creek beneath my feet, I go, sit, and listen to other sounds that my home makes, a pop here and there in the wall, it is like the wall is talking to me. A home not only has its own scent, but it also has its own sound. I truly believe that a home takes on its own personality, US!!

So why this blog?....
I wanted a place that I could come, talk about, and share of how my day was spent here at the "farmhouse", and about the things that I do to make it a "home". Making a house a home is a lifetime endever, and I might add a joy, as our lives are always changing.
