Pear tree lane Farmhouse

~Welcome home~

This blog is dedicated to my dear family who live many miles away, and to you dear ladies , who have a heart for keeping the home fires burning. You, who love and cherish your family, and have a desire to create a home that says "Welcome, you are loved and cared for."

My desire is that when you leave that you will be encouraged and know that you too are loved.

Sue~

Monday Morning Musings.

And what am I doing sitting in a swing so early in the morning?

Okay! I know I need a pedicure, but who has time? lol
I usually like to sit by the pond in summer after my walk and have my devotions, but not today as I didn't get to take my walk this morning, because dh left really early and he doesn't like for me to be out walking by myself when he is not around. Sooooo....

I have a busy day ahead today, not to mention the planned week , so much so that I was beginning to feel a little anxious this morning. Do you ever get this way?  So where do I go when I feel anxious or overwhelmed with the cares of life?.... The Bible, God's Word has the answers not only for me but for you too.

Philippians 4:6-7~ Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding , shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.

While meditating on the above scripture, I looked out and both birds flew in the tree in front of me, I was immediately reminded of another scripture, and I  just looked up toward heaven, and smiled"thanking the Lord for his reminder of His love for me.

Does Mrs  Cardinal look worried today? or....(click on pics.)

how about Mr bluebird?
Matthew 10:31~Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Enjoy your day dear friends, and remember your value today!
Hugs,
Sue
p.s. After much prodding from me, my daughter Susan has decided to move into the neighborhood of Blogland, please feel free to visit her. I know you will be blessed! below is her link.

A very fitting post, Sue. My life has not been much fun lately and I do get anxious, so much so that yesterday after church and dinner I laid down to rest a little and started to doze off.... then suddenly wide awake and the first thought was "gotta get out of here!", which I know is the enemy, Satan, trying to put fear in my heart, but like you I am choosing to remember God is in control and He loves me and cares for me. Thanks for your post this morning!

Although I can understand why you love starting your day by the pond, the view from your window is beautiful too! :-) Have a wonderful day!

Hello Sue! It's nice to meet you too. :)

There have been more times in my life than I can think of that God has helped me through times of anxiousness as well. Thank you for the reminder to keep looking toward Him, even when everything is smooth for the time being.

Thank you for the comments about my little ones and my knitting. I do enjoy them both immensely - glad to know other people find them as nice as I do. And I'm glad there are more ladies out there who like to talk as much as I do! LOL!

Hi Sue!

You look so comfortable in that swing, what a wonderful place to read God's word and relax.

I also get anxious about things, usually things that I know are not a big deal, things that I have done a million times, but, nevertheless, I worry. I know that our Loving Father just needs us to ask Him for help, He is always there . . . waiting for us :0)

Thank you for this wonderful message, one I could hear over and over again.

I am on my way to your daughter's blog!

Hugs,
Barb

I need a porch swing! Or maybe not, I think I would spend far too much time there! It looks like a great place to read or just watch the day go by.
I will visit your daughter's new blog!
Have a great day!

Just stopping by for a minute. Yes, we softies know who we are and all animals know we are easy marks. :) That is terrible about your poor chickens and guineas. They didn't get those cute ducks that follow your husband did it? I am no fan of foxes! They multiply faster than anything I have ever seen. You aren't in the path of the hurricane are you? I was praying last night and I hope that you are inland from its path.
You just brighten my day so much Sue.
Blessings today,
