Everyday brings many simple pleasures, Today while cleaning, I happen to look at this small vase I had placed in this window last week with a few cuttings from a coleus plant I had brought in last fall. And to my amazement it has already taken root, just tickled me pink, lol and I will be planting it in soil this weekend. It is amazing what a little water, and sunlight will do for a plant.
Coleus are a favorite plant of mine, and are very adaptable. They enjoy sitting among beautiful flowers. When spring is here I will transplant them in a planter with some of pretty flowers and then when fall comes I will repeat this again.
I find that simple pleasures cause me to pause,.... be more thankful!!! and to take a closer look at God's creations.
Enjoy your day.

So nice to get little surprises. I am so glad you posted you always help me to see how I am blessed by the little things that sometimes I forget to notice. Have a wonderful evening.
Hi Sue,
Adorable little plant :o)
I agree, it's so great to soak-up the beauty of Gods creations. It always brings a calm, and joy.
God bless,
Michele
I was tickled when I saw my mint plant had survived the harsh winter and was growing again.
Simple pleasures are the best!
I know you will enjoy watching your plant grow outside.
You have such a beautiful farm!
You are right, Coleus do look so pretty among other beautiful plants...
Glad you got a nice surprise today...

I have never planted in coleus - but my mother use to plant it. Beautiful colors - I think Sue this is what they call a "green thumb"! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Sue,
I'm so bad at plant names..but one thing is for certain, this coleus plant is so pretty. It'll be nice to plant it outside and watch it grow some more ;) :)
For me, a simple pleasure was watching a video that a Facebook friend posted. She received a box of mail-order chicks..and it was fun to watch this chirping box. Oh and when the lid was lifted up, it was an overdose of cute, fluffy chirping chicks. It just made my day :) :)
Have a lovely rest of the week, Sue :) :) love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
So exciting to see your rooted coleus on the window sill getting ready for a long, pretty summer. I have geraniums that are brought in each fall and taken back outside when the weather warms. A couple of spider plants too.
So very pretty! I just love coleus too:)
Sue,
I have a spider plant that I've rooted in water and I'm getting ready to transplant it into a pot. I'll set it outside on the patio table for the summer. Thanks for a great Simple Pleasure.

Hi Sue!
What a beautiful, and simple picture! I also love Coleus, although we can't grow them outside where I live, it's way too cold! It's amazing that the circle of life just keeps going around, and around! I know that with your green thumb, it will be just beautiful!
Hugs,
Barb
Sue, I love them too!
I love the variety of colour they supply when the other flowers are spent.
A very nice plant to have around to cheer you up :-)
blessings..Trish
My mum is good with growing cuttings like you. A lovely simple pleasure. I had success (unintentionally) with a piece of basil I had left in a glass of water unused. It's now planted in the garden.
looks like a great plant....so much of His creations amaze me...
Oh you are like my father-in-law who could take anything and make it grow...what a green thumb you have! Enjoy...it will be just beautiful...a true simple pleasure, watching the beautiful of God grow
They are such handsome, rich plants. I love seeing them in gardens and in pots in the house. I know that some people are very good with them...obviously you...I have never done so well.
It is one reason why I walk every morning. I see simple pleasures every where I walk.
Just a little water and sunshine - good for plants and us too! :)
Great simple pleasure!
I am going to have to google this plant. I would love to know what the flowers look like. Thanks for sharing this and I do hope you share a picture when you have one in bloom. [0=
Blessings<><

And without a doubt, Sue, you will get it to thrive when you do plant it. Oh, how I wish I had a different color thumb.
I love this week's simple pleasure!
I love, love when God uses little things like this to remind me of His power and His beautiful creation.
I love to garden also. I understand why the Bible talks about it so much and why Jesus walked and prayed there.
I love having houseplants around too. It's so satisfying to see them grow and flower. Just been looking at your sidebar photos. Your farmhouse is beautiful. I love the front porch and I see you have a swing... heavenly!
God's creation ... our pleasure.
The simple things are sometimes the very best things.
Your new blog is great, Sue. I can't figure out how to follow, though. Please let me know.
Hugs from Heidi
It is amazing how quickly something given nurishment comes to life. The spirit, and idea or our relationship to our Lord. Ginger
Perfect simple pleasure and surprise. Love the simplicity of the picture too. Beautiful. I don't know about you, but simplicity is one of my favorite words. It's actually ranking pretty high these days. ;) Blessings and thanks for stopping by earlier.

This is lovely, Sue. And I love the photo on your blog header.
I love your blog. I've gone and read so many of your posts. Very timely for me as I've been dehydrated spiritually and reading your words reminded me to get into His word and get refreshed! Thank you for sharing your heart, you've blessed mine.

I enjoyed spending some time catching up on your blog! Love the pumpkin puree!!! But I especially enjoyed your recipe for the hand scrub. A friend of mine gave me some homemade scrub that she made for Christmas and she used olive oil. Would love to try your recipe..some day! Enjoy your weekend!
I so admire people who can make things grow...I, sadly am not one of them. My sisters house looks like a beautiful jungle and mine a silk one LOL
