Written by Sue, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 Warm, sunny fall day, temps. 70's
Hello, dear Friends,
My days are finally slowing down, (I think) ~smile~ The pantry is almost full, so thankful for a bountiful gardening season, the peas will be harvested next week, then I will finish decorating for fall and making plans for the holidays, which will be here before we know it! Is it me or does time seem to fly by now, I have been told it's because of getting older, I remember when I was a child, time just seemed to creep, so maybe age is the reason. ~wink~
Mr P and I had our six months check up at the dermatologist this week, we both had a great report, just a few zaps with the freeze zapper. Ha ha.
Speaking of fall decorating,
I've been working on fall decorating what I call "my little haven," the small screened porch that sits off of our bedroom and den.
Before
Scrubbed clean.
It is where I spend my early mornings, meditating, having my devotions and planning my day.they were so plentiful, it didn't take long to pick.
Thank you for visiting.
Blessings,
Sue

Love your painted porch, Sue! It looks pale blue on my screen, but usually I see gray porches. I like them both. Is yours blue or gray? π
Your porch looks so beautiful and cozy. You have it decorated so nicely for fall. Your jewels of grape jelly jars are also beautiful. Yummo! Do you use it mostly on toast or in baking or sandwiches? I watched a vlogger make her jelly from a gallon of grape juice. π
Your grape jelly looks wow, such a feast to eat.. tastes of summer way into your winter, a job very well done.
What a lovely way to begin the day . . . on that welcoming porch! I'd have a hard time leaving it . . .
Yes, indeed, time does fly along these days! I can hardly believe that the holidays are right around the corner, but they are! Love your jars of grape jelly all lined up! I am guessing that your friends and family will be enjoying some of that bounty!
Sue, your lovely haven is so inviting and pretty. A wonderful spot to start your day with the Lord. You two really know how to work hard together. I admire that. Happy Fall to you dear lady. I'm finally over my jetlag...I think. Takes a lot longer the older we get!!
Your porch is beautiful. Must be wonderful to sit out there.
We sure enjoy our porch too.
Time does seems to go by quicker as we get older!!!
So, so good to see this post and see your pretty fall decor. Your porch is so welcoming and cozy. Have a great fall!
I have always enjoyed seeing your fall decorating. I am so glad everything is nice at your house. Lovely grapes. So nice to see your post.
I love your little porch haven. The grape jelly looks amazing. When I was young we used to pick Concord grapes at a relative's backyard arbor. The grapes were not very sweet, but oh, did our station wagon smell good on the way home!
Do you make grape pie? Once in awhile I will make one. Labor intensive (as is the jelly) but oh so good.
Great blog
You are so very creative! I love porches and miss that we don't have one out front. I also love decorating for fall and harvest and so love your porch. How cozy and relaxing; a perfect way to meet the Father. You are so industrious!
Glad you doctor appointment went well.
Love and hugs,
Noreen
Hi Sue! I have always enjoyed seeing your porch after you decorate it for Autumn - it's just beautiful and autumnal! Those grapes are amazing! I grow table grapes that are amazing, but I think I need to grow concord grapes to make juice and jelly...yours looks delicious!! So good to see you back! Hugs, Barb
Your porch looks like such a cozy place! My son in law made Grape Jelly and it is awesome:)
Hello Dear Friend,
I love your porch and would love to sit with you.
We recently heard a bobcat at my sister and brother in law's new property. What a sound! They have seen several bobcat on the trail cams. :-)
Hi Sue,
Love your porch it looks so cozy and homey and yes, we love those battery operated candles too. They are great!! Homemade grape jelly, yum. MY SIL and FatherIL made some years ago from our renegade grapevines and it was
delicious. It was a pretty day for grape picking - gorgeous pics of that beautiful sunny day.
We are slowly getting back to normal after the storm, course we had no damage at all, just limbs and debri. Need to clean our porch good and put everything back but we were watching those 2 storms that were out there before we do it.
No sense in having to go thru it all over again if they might be coming our way....so think we are out of harms way for now anyway, so will probably get with the porch here soon.
Hope you are feeling lots better, we have you on our prayer list hon.
Take care
Love and Blessings,
Nellie
